(Thank you to Oelmuvun for that information!) NOTE: For MULTIPLAYER you will have to rename it back to patch.bundle. It does not need to be renamed back afterwards, apparently, and it might be a good idea to try to rename it before a new game. In the Bundles folder (again in your game's installation directory), the file named "patch.bundle" needs to be renamed to "Xpatch.bundle" (without the quotes of course), AT LEAST BEFORE the beginning of the "Ready for Bear" mission. The file "ctrl_set_def.xml" is in your ".\Steam\steamapps\common\ghost recon advanced warfighter\Settings" folder.Īnd then save the file by simply pressing ctrl+S or using the Save menu in your text editor.įixing the Ready For Bear mission - mission 6Īnd then we have the patch.bundle problem, which is the cause of the camera clipping/rolling problem seen in the beginning of the Ready for Bear mission. Then open it with Notepad or any other text editor. If you're playing the Steam version of GRAW 1 for PC, you will likely come across the problem where the Cross Com fails to work very early in the game in the tutorial phase of your first mission.įirst off, you need to find the "ctrl_set_def.xml" file and MAKE A BACKUP COPY OF IT FIRST with a different name in case anything goes wrong! GRAW 1 fix for Cross Com and Ready For Bear mission. Has anyone else had this type of issue? If so, is there any way to fix it? I'd like to still try to play this game if I can, but not having the main feature of the gameplay (tactical squad members) work is going to seriously impede my ability to do so. I had paid what little money I had in anticipation to play this game, but apparently it was money wasted. This is a tactical shooter and I simply cannot play the game unless the tactical features work. I redefined the keys and tried a third time, but still nothing happened. I checked whether they were properly assigned (they were), and tried again. I tried using the keyboard commands, but they did nothing. I only played a little into the mission when I realized that none of my Ghosts were following me. I had not played any major shooters on the computer before, but I was willing to try nonetheless. It was already a hassle changing all the keyboard commands, seeing how I'm left-handed. I downloaded this game and started playing on campaign mode. I had already played Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 on PlayStation 3 and thoroughly enjoyed it. After buying this game, I was so excited to play it.
